He has asked Meru to maintain peace during the campaign period and also on election day. The wiper leader has urged Meru residents to vote Raila on August 9 election informing that he decided to shelve his bid to boost Raila's bid.
(We have decided to rally Meru today to seek for your votes and we have good reasons to do so. President Uhuru is now retiring and there is need to maintain peace. I decided to shelve my bid to make Raila president first and I have confidence together with Peter Munya we will make it).
