Former Interior and coordination of national government cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiangi on Tuesday 7th March appeared before the Directorate of Criminal to be questioned over alleged at his Karen residential home.
The former powerful Cabinet Secretary was accampanied to the DCI Offices by a number of lawyers who wanted to know what he is being accused of.
However, it has since been established that he is facing two major charged.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation charge sheet seen by the source of This information, the former Interior and coordination of national government cabinet Secretary is accused of conspiracy to commit a felony over the alleged ‘raid’ of his home on February 9.
He is accused of attempting to cause panic, chaos or violence amongst Kenyans by claiming that his house had been raided by a battalion of officers intending to arrest him.
The former powerful Cabinet Secretary is also accused of publication of false information contrary to section 23 of the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes.
The alleged raid as claimed by Matiangi's lawyer was conducted by the police, however, the police came out to deny any involvement in the raid. Later Police officers broke into former Interior his Karen home on grounds that they had a search order to obtain CCTV recordings to establish facts surrounding an alleged raid on the home.
