Kianjokoma again back into the mourning of death of ninety-four year old granny Gladys Embu. The deceased is the grandmother of the two slain brothers, Benjamin Njiru and Emmanuel Mutura who were killed recently by police officers over defying curfew hours. The granny is said to have died over depression while undergoing treatment because her deceased grandsons.
Recently, Kenyans had appealed justice for the two. This made President Uhuru Kenyatta to give greenlight for the arrest of culprits in charge of the killings. Inspector General of police, Mutyambai handed over the file to Director of Public Prosecution, Noordin Hajj which led to arrest of six police officers.
Those who were arraigned in court to face charges include Constable Consolata Njeri, Constable Benson Mbuthia, Constable Lilian Cherono, Constable Martin Wanyama, Constable Nicholas Sang, and Constable James Mwaniki. The six were held in custody as investigation continued to prevent them from interfering with the evidence against them.
