A tithe is a tenth of one's produce paid to a religious organizations mostly churches by Christians. Tithes are voluntary and are either paid in cash, cheques or in form of farm produce. Heated arguements have been raised in the past about this act with some Christians feeling it's not necessary. Tithing was central according to God's law. Leviticus 27:30

The Bible says , " A tenth of the produce of the land , whether grain or fruit is the Lord's,and is holy."

Proverbs 3:9

It says, "Honour the Lord with your wealth,with the first fruits of all your crops."

Numbers 18:26

It states, " Speak to the Levites and say to them: 'When you receive from the Israelites the tithe I give to you as your inheritance,you must present a tenth of that tithe as the Lord's offering.''

Proverbs 3:9-10

The Bible says'" Honour the Lord with your wealth,with the first fruits of all your crops;10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing,and yours vats will brim over with new wine."

2 Chronicles 31:4

"4 He ordered the people living in Jerusalem to give the portion due the priests and Levites so they could devote themselves to the Law of the Lord."

Malachi 3:8

"Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me. "But you ask how,'how are we robbing you?"In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under curse-your whole nation-because you are robbing me."
