"We can't allow thugs to hold the county at ransom by shattering the lives of innocent residents; we shall work with law enforcement agencies to help unravel such macabre killings," he said.
Officers who worked closely with Achieng’ “Including Chief Officer, Jonathan Ino and directors, Dr Melsa Lutomia and Dr Janerose Ambuchi eulogized her as a committed nurse, a matriarch, a dedicated and passionate worker whose services as a nephrologist will be greatly missed,” the post read.
They too urged the urged “the police to ensure Mung'ayo's killers are brought to book.”
The social media post also confirmed that Achieng’ was murdered on 12th September 2021 at her home after attending a conference in a neighboring country, the assailants also stole goods.
Her fellow nurses led by Fred Omiah from Ministry of Health lit candles and sang a song titled ‘Kenya Nchi Tunayoipenda’ while the male counterparts paraded with Kenyan flags followed with white nets to accord a “befitting sendoff”.
“The deceased has left behind two daughters including Gloria Akinyi who is an Assistant County Commissioner in Nyandarua County,” the post concluded.
