On Friday, March 31, a forensic team from the DCI exhumed the body before an on-site autopsy.
According to tuko.co.ke, police officers were seen in a video that went viral trying to appease the angry Njoro villagers who did not want the body of Jeff Mwathi reburied immediately. A member of the audience demanded that law enforcement produce the official court order allowing the exhumation.
Jeff Mwathi's uncle Samidoh was forced to intervene after the villagers said that the body of the late Jeff should not be reburied.
Samidoh asked the villagers to calm down and allow the DCI to continue the investigations. He also said that the court order indicated that the body of Jeff should be buried immediately.
Below is the screenshot of the remarks of Samidoh.

May his soul rest in peace.
