Second Lady Dorcas Gachagua has weighed in on the LGBTQ debate saying according to science, no one is born being homosexual.
Dorcas speaking to university students on Thursday during the Boy Child mentorship program at the University of Nairobi said she is against same-sex relations.
According to Dorcas, following what scientists have said, it shows that a person chooses to be homosexual which she said it is against our Constitution for women marrying women or men marrying men.
“There is no scientific results that tell us a person is born with an inclination of being a homosexual. It means this is a deliberate choice for a person. We respect the freedom and right of that person as long as it is within the laws of our country,” she said.
Dorcas who is a pastor further said the Bible does not support homosexuality as she questioned what can be produced from such a relationship if it can bring positive change in the society.
“At the same time I am a pastor, so biblically speaking, that kind of relationship is an abomination and it is written in the Bible. The relationship should be able to produce something. A relationship between a man and a man or a woman and a woman, what will they produce?” questioned Dorcas.
