The war in Congo where rebels have been engaging in heavy fighting with the government is taking a drastic new direction. This is after peaceful interventions fail to besr results. The rebels majority of who are M23 and operating in the Eastern region of Kivu have finally declared their stand, the rebels who had earlier indicated all signs of downing their weapons to support a peaceful resolution have vowed to keep fighting until their grievances are heard.
The rebels who gave the condition of meeting the regional peace negotiators have since never been successful in their quest to table their grievances as they have never been accorded the platform.
As reported by NTV Uganda channel, their condition to meet the regional mediators remain as the worrying condition for peace to prevail. This is happening even as the East African regional forces including the KDF were deployed as standsby force to act if called to action.
