The Eastern part of Democratic Republic of Congo has witnessed fierce fighting in the last six months. This has created misery and suffering among the residents especially women and children who are adversely affected by the fighting. In a bid meant to arrive to peace attainment the Luanda, Angola meeting between representative of president of Rwanda Paul Kagame who also doubles as the foreign minister Mr Vincent Biruta and DRC president Felix Tshisekedi has born fruits.

The meeting was held at Luanda amidst rising tension resulting from bloody militia violence along the two countries borderline.
Agreement was arrived for an immediate Ceasefire. The militias were given upto Friday to completely withdraw from the areas they occupy. The clashes have resulted to a diplomatic row as DRC accuse Rwanda of aiding thr rebels with finances and weapons.
This is the first time the two countries are united to end rebel activities which has affected DRC negatively.
