A Mi-24 Helicopter From An African Country Spotted At Russia's Hmeimim Air Base In Syria

The Central African Republic is a landlocked country in Central Africa. It is bordered by Chad to the north, Sudan to the northeast, South Sudan to the southeast, the Democratic Republic of Congo to the south, the Republic of Congo to the Southwest and Cameroon to the West.

Currently, the Central African Republic's military is involved in a conflict with rebel groups. Russian military instructors are in the country to help the government in fighting the rebels.

Today, a photo surfaced online showing a Central African Republic Mi-24 helicopter at Russia's Hmeimim airbase in Syria. It seems that the CAR Mi-24 helicopter was probably transported to Syria for repairs before being flown back.

According to Zoka news, "A Central African Republic Mi-24 was spotted at Russia's Hemeimim airbase in Syria. The Central African Republic's Mi-24 helicopter was returned to the country, after repairs in Syria."
