The Directorate of Criminal Investigations has this afternoon received state of the art equipment from the United States Government at Mazingira Complex Headquarters in Kiambu County.

The Director General of the DCI was there in person to receive the equipment which included two vehicles as well as twelve motorcycles and other gear.
While receiving the equipment at Mazingira Complex, the Director General of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Amin Mohamed, has revealed that forty two officers are said to have received specialized training in the United States.
The forty two officers were drawn from the Anti Terrorism Police Unit of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations at a place that is known as Quantico in the state of Virginia.
"Under this prestigious programme, forty two of our detectives that were drawn from the Anti Terrorism Police Unit underwent a twelve week long intensive counterterrorism training at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia and we cannot thank the United States government enough for this gesture. The establishment of the joint terrorism task-force that began after the al-Shabaab terrorist attack on the DusitD2 Hotel in Nairobi." DCI Director General, Amin Mohamed said.
