Kenya Defense Force and East African Community Regional Force troops have melted the hearts after doing the following during heavy downpour in Kibati area. The troops however was deployed at Kibumba assisted the locals to move their farm produce to Kibati area following heavy rainfall.
This comes after 70 local farmers had harvested their farms in Kibumba faced challenge of transporting the produce to Goma as they mostly depend on motorcycles that provide limited transport services especially during rains. The locals however appreciated the good gesture from the EACRF troops and called on continued protections.
"The force urges the Internally Displaced Persons who are residents of Kibumba to return home as the EACRF troops deployed in the region continue providing security with the objective of achieving lasting peace and stability in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo." It was stated.
Kenyans have gone ahead online to express their feelings on the move taken by the troops to help the residents as they say that it's the best thing they have done in the year and they continue like that even as they provide security.
