A Kenya Defence Force officer has been reported to have committed suicide by drinking battery acid after some domestic wrangles with his step mother.

This sad incident has occurred in Mbita sub -county, Homa Bay county. This KDF officer is said to be 35 years old. He was identified a Victor Ouma and he used to serve in the Kenya Defence Force.
According to God Hope village assistant chief Frederick Odero, Victor was in the company of his stepmother that day before this sad incident happened. He had some domestic wrangles with his stepmother which may have triggered him to commit suicide.
Mr. Odero further stated that he was called by the villagers to go and confirm that the victim had committed suicide. The dead body was later taken to Med 25 Kirindo mortuary for preservation and postmortem to determine the main cause of his death.
