The Kenya Defense Forces has been on the frontline of ensuring that there are no domestic or foreign threats that might come against the country.

The Kenya Defense Forces also recruits specialist officers who have different roles that pertain to the degrees or diplomas that they have studied in universities or colleges.
The Kahawa Garisson is one of the biggest barracks in the country and has maintained the status for many years now boasting of officers from many professions.

This afternoon, according to the available reliable reports that we have with us from the Kenya Defense Forces, officers from the Mechanical and Electrical Engineers unit are said to have engaged in a Nobel exercise.
The Kenya Defense Forces officers from the Kenya Army Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering unit are said to have engaged in a tree planting exercise.
The exercise was conducted at the Kahawa Garisson where they are stationed as per the reports that we have with us from the Garisson.
KACEME Corps Commander who is known as Colonel Anthony Wambugu thanked all the officers that participated in the exercise and urged them to take up this role even more.
The event happened to coincide with the Africa Environment Day/ Wangari Maathai Day to ensure that the environment is well taken care of.

In the tree planting exercise, over 6,000 tree seedlings were planted by the officers with majority of the trees being fruit trees which included avocado, mango, macadamia as well as jamun.
