Ministry of Defence has finally taken action against the heavily armed soldiers who raised a police station to free their two collegues who were arrested by police after erecting an illegal road block.
According to a press release by the ministry of defence shared by the defence Spokesman,Uganda People's Defence Forces, UPDF condemns such behavior in the strongest terms. The UPDF has said that such indiscipline shall never be tolerated as it jeopardizes the good working relationship between the two sister forces. The said soldiers shall be arraigned before the court martial.
The Ministry of Defence has relesed the names of the soldiers currently in police custody and they include: RA/ 130320 Corporal Kasaija Niclous, RA/ 266122 Private Oleti Isaac, RA/ 155534 Corporal Leti Jacob and RA/ 262502 Private Kazibwe Javira.
The UPDF has said that there behaviour contravenes the UPDF Cord of conduct and is against the good order and discipline of UPDF.
