Breakthrough as KDF Troops Successfully Take Charge of Ishasha Border and Bunagana Region of DRC.

The Democratic republic of congo is still in a crisis . This is after the rebels operating in Eastern Kivu and Goma kept their tough Words not to withdraw from their areas of operation. With the incident getting to worse in some areas where police are forced to exchange fire with the rebels, residents continue to suffer as they lack basic needs.

Days ago, the border at Ishasha became a point of interest as rebels took control in a bid meant to sabotage business in Kivus province biggest town Goma. The checkpoint at Ishasha situated in Nyanga Sub-county of the larger Kanungu District had been the solitary entry point for cargo trucks en route to Goma City in the DR Congo. The capture of both Bunagana and Busanza as well as Kitagoma and the checkpoibt in October by the M23 rebels remained as the biggest success the group has recorded in recent past. This stalled transportation and business in Goma.

According to a reliable source within the troops in Congo, by today Sunday 27th nov the Kenyan troops together with those of the UPDF were in full control of the borderline and were protecting deserted trucks. Now the Kenyan troops are awaiting clearance to venture into Bunagana from where transport will start flowing.
