The Cabinet Secretary (CS) for the Ministry of Defence Aden Duale on Thursday, 3rd November 2022, visited the Kenya Army Headquarters in Nairobi familiarization and orientation tour.
The CS was received by Commander Kenya Army, Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Peter Njiru, who took him through the various departments within the Army.

After the orientation tour, the CS acknowledged the essential role played by the Kenya Army in delivering its core mandate of securing Kenya from external land-based aggression.
“The Army is critical in the defence of the nation. I applaud you for being an elite service that is ready and efficient; I want to assure you of our support to enable you to attain your mandate in accordance with the Constitution,” said Hon Duale as reported by KDF.
The CS affirmed his commitment to enhancing Army modernization ambitions, and the welfare of soldiers for mission readiness and urged them to continue with the same spirit and commitment to selfless service to the nation.
