Al-shabaab recruitment is an excercise which has been a thorn in kenyan flesh as many youth have joined this terror groups in previous times.
Some of the main reason as to why the youth opted to join Al-shabaab is because of high rate of unemployment in kenya and life frustrations.
Some could finish school and have nowhere to work making them susceptible to the evil terror group. The goup normally lure the youth by promising them money and other benefits.
This has been concluded after realising that the number of youths who are currently joining the militia is very low as compared to the number that joined in previous years.
Infact it has been identified that some youths who had joined the militia have ditched the group and surrendered to the police.
In my opinion, more education should be given to youth on the dangers of joining this group so that the number of youths who are willing yo join reduces to almost zero in he near future.
