Today in the morning, reports have emerged that the former president of this country, hon Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta has come out to send a message to his succesor, president William Samoe Ruto while he is in DRC.
As reported by the Kenyans.co.ke, the former head of state while talking during a peace negotiation meeting thanked the president of Kenya for sending his troops to DRC to help in restoring peace. Uhuru said that KDF troops will assist in restoring peace as they try to bring together the two fighting factions in DRC. He also send the same message to the president of Uganda and Burundi who have also dispatched their troops for peacekeeping mission in DRC. Uhuru is the head of East Africa Community peacekeeping team.
"Further, the consultative meeting appreciated the Republics of Burundi, Kenya and Uganda for the timely deployment of troops and urged other troop-contributing countries to expedite their deployment" said the reports.
