Al-Shabaab is counting blow after blow as the military continues with its operations.
Somali National Army led by commandos has been carrying out offensive operations in recent days, targeting Al-Shabaab militants from their hideouts considered their strongholds.
On Tuesday, the Somali National Army confirmed killing at least 50 militants during offensive operations in the Mudug region.
According to a tweet shared by Somali National Army, three of the 50 militants gunned down today were foreigners.
They also said some were commanders and leaders of the group.
However, they did not reveal the nationality of the three foreigners.
"Somali National Army and Galmudug regional security forces are gaining significant ground as the joint operations to eliminate terrorists in Mudug region intensify. 50 Alshabab militants, among them 3 foreigners were killed in Caad village, on Tuesday, SNA officials confirmed," National television said while referring to Somali Army's tweet.
On Monday, the Somali National Army also confirmed killing more than 50 militants, making it 100 militants in less than a week.
