Kenya Defence Forces were recently deployed to Democratic Republic of Congo for a peacekeeping mission under the KENCON. Today, the KDF announced that the movement of the troops, warfare equipment and logistics components of the Kenyan Contigent operating under the East African Community Regional Forces in DRC has been successful laveraging on EAC diplomatic and military relations.
In the same spirit, the ongoing Nairobi process, FARDC efforts, population support and humanitarian assistance are geared towards the provision of human security for peace coexistence. According to a post shared by KDF on their twitter account, command visits are made to the gallant group to provide morale booster. During the visit on 3rd Dec, Commanding officer Liutenant Denus Obiero briefed them on deployment progress, projections and welfare matters.
They said that EACRF is committed to supporting FARDC in defeative negative forces, maintaining law and order working on disarmament, demobilisation and community recovery.
