Despite many admiring to serve in the Kenyan Military one day, they first need to come to terms with what it means to be a soldier. Loking back briefly, Kenyans have been moved to tears following several staged attacks against the KDF like the one in Somalia and along the border.
Due to these facts, we are going to review what a potential recruit should prepare for both psychologically and emotionally before setting foot in a military barracks as a soldier.
1 Life of sacrifice
A person must be willing to offer the highest sacrifice ever. You must be willing to put your life at stake in order to save others. KDF is all about serving and protecting the nation of Kenya from external attacks.
2 A life away from family
If you like sticking around by your wife, husband, or kids, then this is certainly not the best career for you. Soldiers get deployed to serve even for years - if your a homesick person, you will have great challenges.
Do you think you can make it in the army?
