The Kenya Defense Forces officers have been doing their best to ensure that the Al Shabaab terror group is eradicated and that the millions who live in and around the country of Somalia, enjoy peace that they deserve.

For the past ten years or so, the Kenya Defense Forces troops serving under the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) have been giving their all to guarantee peace and stability in the region.
According to the Official Social Media Handle of The Kenya Defense Forces, the General Officer Commanding Eastern Command (GOC EastCom), Major General Ayub Matiiri visited the troops deployed under the ATMIS wing.
Major General Ayub Matiiri visited the troops deployed at troops deployed at the Old as well as New Airports based in Kismayo, Kuday and Abdale Birole in the country of Somalia.
Major General Matiiri thanked the soldiers for their selfless efforts and requested them to remain more vigilant, and maintain discipline as well as professionalism while executing their mandated duties.
The visit, which is done by most militaries around the world is seen as a morale booster for the troops serving in such hostile zones.
