The president Uhuru Kenyatta today was welcomed by military forces in Lamu county where he will be leading the presidential regimental colour presentation ceremony. The ceremony is planned to happen at Kenya Navy base in Manda bay where he is expected to inspect the ongoing projects in the base. The military forces welcomed him in style the moment he landed at the airport.
The president Uhuru Kenyatta was also welcomed by the cabinet secretary of defence forces Dr Monica Juma who arrived early in the county. The president Uhuru Kenyatta is trying to make Lamu county a safe place for the tourist to enjoy themselves during public holidays. Lamu county has been experiencing alot of insecurity cases where the president is now focusing on how to improve the area's security.
Despite that, it is upon kenyans to work together during this hard of covid-19 pandemic to make sure people live in peace. Remember to wear mask and maintain social distance so that we can overcome this deadly disease called covid-19 in our country.
