The Ugandan commander of land forces has come out to say the critics of government that they can never take power by force in Uganda.
The newly appointed commander of land forces in army confirmed that the Uganda People Defence Forces and the National Resistance Army built by forefathers has always defeated all enemies of peace and progress.
Muhoozi said the security forces in Uganda is ready 24/7 to confront anyone or any group that thinks they can undermine the prevailing peace in the country.
"No one has the capacity to take power by force in Uganda again. Our army the UPDF and our forefathers the NRA have built a strong foundation to defeat all the enemies of peace and progress. We are ready to confront any one or group that thinks can undermine the prevailing peace." Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba said.
Muhoozi joined the army in 1997, recruiting about 100 university graduates who were trained as part of the Local Defence Unit (LDU): quasi trained soldiers, armed with sticks not guns.
He graduated from the prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 2000 and was deployed in the then Presidential Protection Unit (PPU).
