(Photos) British Soldiers Transport A Helicopter Inside A C-17 Plane For Winter Exercise In Norway.

Exercise Clockwork is part of the United Kingdom's Armed Forces annual Winter Deployment to the Arctic Circle in Norway, preparing all three services for the most unforgiving conditions. The purpose of the exercise is to train military personnel how to survive, operate and fight in extreme cold weather environments.

Today, British soldiers were spotted transporting their equipment to Norway for their winter exercise. This is according to a social media post by the Royal Air Force that read, "The RAF Brize Norton based Air Mobility Force has begun deploying service personnel to Norway for the annual Exercise Clockwork cold weather training. RAF C-17, A400m, C-130 and Voyager aircraft will transport personnel and equipment to Bardufoss Air Base."

The social media post by the Royal Air Force was then followed by photos that showed a Boeing C-17 Globemaster III plane on a runway that was covered in ice. This is because Norway is currently experiencing winter conditions. Since Norway is near tge Arctic Circle its winter is usually very severe than in the UK.

One of the social media photos posted by the Royal Air Force showed an Apache helicopter inside the C-17 plane. The photo also showed three crews going on with their business.
