The Multi-Agency Security team held a fruitful consultative meeting with the local leaders and elders in Kulol Sub-Location within Akoret Location in Tiaty West and managed to recover one G3 rifle with an empty magazine.
The meeting, which is one among many being held in the county was chaired by the Rift Valley Regional Police Commander Mr. Tom Odero. The team urged the members of the public to embrace community policing initiative and provide timely information that may help the security agencies to root out bandits and recover illegal fire arms.
A strong team of fighting units have been deployed in Turkana East under the command of the Operations Commander Mr. Joseph Limo to ensure safety and security prevails in the region.
The recovered G3 rifle has been handed over to the OCS Nginyang Police Station for necessary police action.
Tiaty is highly affected by illiteracy and underdevelopment; God may you make our government to understand this and come up with a favourable strategies that would help poor mighty Tiaty.-jeremiah.
