Earlier today, avehicle run over improvised explosive device in Banisa and one person was seriously injured along Derkale road after a Landcruiser belonging to a construction firm hitted the bomb planted on the road.
The injured was rushed to Elwak refferal hospital where he is now undergoing treatment.
Reports indicate the suspected Alshabab militants later visited the construction site to confirm the number of casualties.
It was not the first time such incident been reported in the area, the latest attack was along Elwak Mandera road when the militants attacked the police vehicle and killed five police officers on the spot.
The residents of Mandera county were now appealing to the national government and that of the county government inorder these militants to be wiped from the region.
There is no any single leader from Mandera county who had ever talked about insecurity of this county either through radio or Tv.
