The commander of the Ugandan Army Muhhozi Kainerugaba and son of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has drawn mixed reactions online in the wake of his most recent remarks. According to reports, the commander of Uganda claimed that taking control of Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, would only take him and his troops less than two weeks. He claimed that Ugandan soldiers are more tactically and physically suited to outperform their Kenyan colleagues in field combat.
Online, there have been a range of reactions to his statement, with some advising him to exercise caution because what he says can provoke diplomatic tension between the two nations. The late President of the Republic of Kenya, Moi, was in control a few years ago.
His tweet has been criticised by Kenyans politicians like Mike Sonko.
