The cabinet secretary in charge of Defence Aden Duale has landed in north-eastern under tight security just a few days after he was crowned as the new cabinet secretary in charge of the powerful docket. This is his first official visit to the area since he was elected and sworn in as the cabinet secretary for the side seat.
The military when Duale arrived
The convoy that was escorting the cabinet secretary landed in the area a few minutes past 11 a.m. and was received by top military officials who had already gathered at the scene to welcome him to the venue of today's event.
Today's event marks his official duty of distributing relief food to the hundreds of starving north-eastern residents who voted for routers administration in the just-concluded polls which show Kenya Kwanzaa carry the day.
The exercise of food distribution coming just a few days after his senior William ruto also visited to Connor and also distributed food to the less fortunate in the area.
