Senior Council has recently given tough criticism after reports that widows and widowers of Kenya Defence Forces soldiers who enter into new relationships after the death of their spouses will soon not be eligible for pension under new regulations published by the Defence ministry.
This latest publication has really annoyed him and he bitterly reacted. In his message he said that this is not right at all. He stated that widows and widowers should not be coerced on choices they may want to make after the death of spouses. He termed this as inhumane and an affront to human dignity and respect.
Other Kenyans also reacted and some said that why should a person be denied the chance to get into a relationship again? Kenyans also asked, "Could there be a possibility of the spouse, or motive instigated by spouse lover to kill the serviceman or servicewoman in pursuit of a soft life courtesy of KDF information pension? in such a scenario what is the probable action?"
