The m23 Rebels have reportedly agreed to leave the Eastern region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo following a successful agreement with the military, according to a news article released by the Kenya Defense forces.
General Nyaga of the Kenyan Defense Forces reported that this occurred during a meeting that had been arranged by the late president Uhuru Kenyatta.
Gen. Nyaga: We have reached an agreement and have had the chance to meet with the suspects and we will make sure that we go by the Kenya Defense Forces Peaceful resolutions.
This is taking place at the same time that the m23 Rebels have abandoned a number of DRC regions that the Kenya Defense Forces have taken control of.
This is a breakthrough, according to the reports provided by the East African Forces as the suspects had been killing individuals in these same areas.
