On of the terror convicts who escaped Kamiti Prison a few weeks ago has opened up on thinking of escaping again.
The suspects who were re-arrested in Mwingi East were Monday arraigned at the Kahawa Law Courts.
On why he escaped, Shikanda said, “Nilikuwa natafuta uhuru wangu, nimekaa miaka kumi hapa ndio maana nikajaribu kutoroka,”
However, if he gets a chance he will do it again. Shikanda narrated that he is already serving time and due to his escape he will be added another time.
"Ee lazima nitoroke, Si ninarudi jela miaka mingine, pamoja na ile yangu?" he said.
Musharaf Abdallah Akhulunga alias Shukri, Mohamed Ali Abikar and Joseph Juma Odhiambo alias Yusuf were arrested by detectives in Mwingi East as they approached Ukasi.
The trio were on the run after a controversial escape from Kamiti which involved dislodging a brick on the wall of their cell.
