According to reports, a bomb scare has occurred at the Yare Towers in Eastleigh, Nairobi County, after unknown people left a note claiming that there was an explosive device in one of the buildings in the area.
Witnesses who were inside the building, revealed that the note warned the tenants og the Yare Towers to leave the building immediately before the bomb exploded.
And now the Yare Towers has been completely sealed off with the tenants and other workers removed from the building.
The police have sent a specialized team comprising of bomb squad and anti-terror police to look into the issue and search the explosive device,which the note alleges it is in tbe building.
Julius Kiragu,the Starehe OCPD,said that the search for the explosive device as alleged by the note,is still going on, although they have not found it.He also said they have sent commandos to comb the area and ensure safety.
The note is reported to have warned that the explosive device might go off anytime from today at 1:00Pm.
