President Ruto Sent A Powerful Message To DRC Forces After They Arrested a Kenyan Linked to The Church Attack

According to reports, at least 14 people were killed in a church bombing in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo on weekend, an army spokesperson, Mualushayi said on Monday raising an earlier toll of 10 dead. The bomb explosion ripped through an evangelical church in Kasindi town, in North Kivu province on the border with Uganda. Following investigations, Allied Democratic Forces (ADC) which the Islamic State group claims as its Central African affiliate, is held responsible by the DRC government.

A Kenyan was arrested following the attack. According to the, Mualushayi several more people have also been arrested and that investigations that are in their preliminary stages are still ongoing. While responding to the incident, President William Ruto, condemned the attack that led to loss of innocent lives. On the other hand, the Kenyan head commended the DRC forces for their swift action leading to arrest of the suspected terrorists. In his side, Ruto supported the Kenyan arrest.
