Harakat al-Shabaab al-Mujahideen more commonly known as al-Shabaab, is a Somalia-based terrorist Jihadist fundamentalist group active in East Africa and Yemen. The group describes itself as waging Jihad against "enemies of Islam" and is engaged in combat against the Federal Government of Somalia and the African Union Mission to Somalia (AMISOM).
Today, Somalia's National Intelligence and Security Agency's agents discovered a cave being use by al-Shabaab to store explosive materials. This is according to a social media post by SNTV News that read, "The security forces have found last night explosive materials storage cave belonging to al-Shabaab and arrested three terrorists in a planned operation in Mogadishu's Heliwa district."
The social media post was then followed by photos that showed the intelligence agents combing the cave for the explosive materials. All the agents involved in the operation wore balaclavas so that their identities may not be known by the enemey.
The ammunition that was found looked very old and was covered in rust. Probably al-Shabaab wanted to recycle them and make more deadly bombs.
