Mungu Walinde: KDF in Somalia Spotted Praying as They Did This to Locals in Kismayo

The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) bases in Somalia was today spotted praying together with locals in Kismayo where they had visited locals.

KDF toured Wadajir located within Kisimaayo and shared a word of prayer with the residents as well as meals head of anticipated celebrations to mark the holy month of Ramadhan.

Muslim KDF Soldiers serving in Somalia under the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) based at New Airport Forward Operating Base, visited local people of Wadajir Location to give out Zakat ul-Fitr.

According to KDF, the gesture will enable the locals to celebrate Eid Mubarak with their families. 

The soldiers were led by the Commanding Officer, his Second in Command, Imam and Jubaland Airport Operations Director Rashid Abdi Dakane.

The KDF Imam led the forum in prayers alongside the Assistant Chief Maalim Musa Ali and village elders

Over thirty (30) households benefited from assorted food items such as cooking oil, wheat flour, sugar, rice, milk, tea leaves, beans and dates.

The residents led by the area Assistant Chief thanked the KDF AMISOM troops for the kind gesture during the Holy month of Ramadhan.
