65 Highly Trained Marine Soldiers have passed out in an event that overseen by Chief of Training and Recruitment Brigadier General Mathew Gureme at an event that took place in Kalangalo Marine Training School.
Speaking at the event, Brigadier General Matthew Gureme told the the highly trained UPDF marine soldiers that the entire country depended on their skills they had learnt.
"The marine brigade is entrusted with safeguarding all the water bodies in the country and the security of the people travelling on the water lies on them. In case of emergencies on the water it’s the marines. They are also responsible for the protection of VIPs." Brigadier General Mathew Gureme said.

Furthermore, Brigadier General Mathew Gureme told the marines to walk out of the training with their heads held high and display high level of personal discipline and guard themselves against diseases like HIV while commending the Officers for flying Ugandan flag both inside and in Somalia.
