Why You Have a Higher Chance of Joining Kenya Police Than KDF

Age is a crucial factor in any recruitment of officers into the armed forces. Recruiters and trainers place emphasis in this requirement to ensure they dont bring along people who are too old or too young into the force.

Among the seemingly surprising facts is that a person wishing to join the Kenya police has higher chances that one wishing to joing the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) when it comes to age. In the KDF for instance, the minimum age required is 18 years while the maximum age required is 26 years. This applies to both servicemen and officer cadets. However for specialist officers in the KDF, the maximum age goes up to 30 years.

On the other hand, in the Kenya police, the minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 30 years. This means that a person has more chance when it comes to joining the police. Between the KDF and Kenya Police, which one would you join given a chance?
