The government has been putting a lot of effort into getting rid of all bandits from the trouble spots. Additionally, the authorities have so far sent KDF soldiers into the affected counties to apprehend the suspects who have been raping, killing, and stealing animals in the Samburu, Laikipia, West Pokot, and Baringo County regions.
According to the source, Defense Cabinet Secretary Duale has today landed in some trouble. Duale, who was being accompanied by other top government officials, has confirmed that the government will build a military camp in the region and also create a network of quick reaction forces. He has also sent a strong message to bandits and confirmed that the security forces deployed in the region are there to stay. I quote his statement from the source: "We are going to set up serious military installations and GSU camps in the area, creating a network of quick-reaction forces. The bandits dare us, and we have come in full force to find a lasting solution," Defense Cabinet Secretary Duale has confirmed what will happen in the affected regions.
These are bad news for all bandits because the government, through Cabinet Secretary Duale, has confirmed that security personnel will remain there and make sure that all residents are living peacefully.
This just came in after a case of banditry attacks was witnessed in Samburu and several cattle were stolen.
