Incidents of banditry in the North Rift region of the country have been on the rise with the government doing its best to ensure that the menace is handled as per the reports that we have with us.
The President of Kenya William Ruto deployed the Kenya Defense Forces to the region to aid the National Police Service in the elimination of the bandits in the area.
The presence of the Kenya Defense Forces officers in the area with their heavy artillery has done little to curb the menace that has seen many people lose their lives.
This morning, according to the available reliable reports that we have with us from the Baringo County, there has been a death in the area that has been brought about by the bandits.
One person is said to have been killed by the bandits at a place that is known as Kagir Village found in Baringo Countu.
All this is amid the security operations that are being conducted by the government in North Rift to curb the menace in the area.
The bandits have defied the presence of the Kenya Defense Forces and staged so many attacks that have left the soldiers in the area overwhelmed as per the reports that we have with us.
The residents have called on the government to increase the security and enhance the operation in the area to ensure that the bandits are totally kicked out.
