The new ADC is deputised by Lt. Col. Damaris Agnetta from the Kenya Army. She takes over from Racheal Nduta Kamui who has also been promoted to a full Colonel and deployed to DoD. The former ADC and his deputy were from the Kenya Navy and Kenya Air Force respectively.

The ADC is the military officer that stands behind the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces during official functions.

Lengusuranga on Tuesday accompanied Ruto to Nyeri, where he is attending the funeral of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's elder brother who died last week.

He is a seasoned and experienced military officer serving as a senior Special Forces branch commander.

Agnetta was commissioned in 2003 and has been serving as an Artillery officer. She's also served in the UN Observer Mission. According to the Defence Council, the change is effected from time to time due of the career progression of officers.
