Tension In Nakuru West As Police Ambush And Arrest 2 Al-Shabaab Terrorist Planning To Plot Attacks

There is tension in Nakuru West as Police officers ambush and arrest two Al-Shabaab terrorist planning to plot attacks on Monday morning, Nakuru County.

They were arrested after the officers were tipped-off by members of the public who saw the duo hid inside a rented room in the outskirts of the town.

Nakuru West Sub-County Police Commander who confirmed the incident said the suspects were nabbed by Anti-Terror Police Unit alongside two KDF officers.

Two AK-47 firearms, assortment of mobile phones,45 rounds of ammunition were recovered during the sting operation.

The two were transferred to Nakuru for grilling by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations officers.

The latest development comes when security officers swang into action to eradicate the rising cases of criminal activities within the town.

Their gateway means a probox car registration number plate KCT 621C recovered abandoned in bush in the outskirts of the area and towed to Lanet town police station for inspection.
