It is now over 10 years since Kenyan forces crossed the border and camped in Somalia, with an aim of stabilizing the Horn of Africa, and bringing to an end, Al-Shabaab's attacks.
KDF had earlier indicated its plan to withdraw from Somalia and end its mission in December 2021, however, emerging reports are now saying the Kenyan forces are not yet done with terrorists at the Horn of Africa.
Several towns and regions have so far been secured after the bad guys were moved away.
The move by KDF and their AMISOM counterparts indicate they are set to go after Al-Shabaab from their new hideouts, kick them out and secure more regions and eventually the whole of Somalia.
Somalia has several terrorist groups but Al-Shabaab is the most lethal group, known for their endless attacks.
Recently, America declared Al-Shabaab as the most lethal terror group in Africa, capable of carrying out destructive attracts.
The group recruits fighters from all over the world.
