Major General John Omenda is the Commander Kenya Air Force (KAF) in the country. It is one of the branches of the Kenya Defence Forces which is tasked at defending the National territory. Today, he presided over an Historic Event at Laikipia Air Base. According to a post shared by Kenya Defence Forces on their twitter account, the event was the first graduation of Aviation Centre of Excellence (Ace) Course 01. 
They said that it was an historic moment for KAF and the Inaugural pilot trg course Ace graduands who represents first class to graduate since establishment of Aviation Centre of Excellence. At the same ceremony, Qualified Flying Instructor Course 12/22 graduand were also feted. 
The Commander KAF awarded the Pilot qualified pilots with pilots brevet as he presided over the ceremony. He Congratulated all the graduands urging them to seek further knowledge not in flying alone but also in other fields.
