News just in indicates that Deputy Contingent Commander Colonel Joel Maiyo took charge as Kenya Defence Forces took part in a key event in Dhobley region of Somalia.
The information shared by ATMIS reveals that the Kenya Defence Forces in Somalia currently in a peace keeping mission joined the global community to celebrate the World Aids Day that was being commemorated through out the world in Dhobley.
While speaking at the event, Colonel Joel Maiyo urged all to take personal responsibility to combat HIV and AIDS by knowing their statuses.
"Today in Dhobley, ATMIS and KDF joined the global community to celebrate World AIDS Day . The KDF Deputy Contingent Commander, Colonel Joel Maiyo, urged all to take personal responsibility to combat HIV AIDS by knowing their status." ATMIS shared.

The colonel further encouraged all not to discriminate against the persons living with the virus.
