The Defense Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa on Wednesday visited the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) troops who have been deployed at the Kismayu Forward Operation Base under the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia.
The visit was aimed at boosting the morale of the soldiers as they continue battling the Alshabab militia and building the Somalia National Security Forces.
CS Wamalwa stated to the soldier that the government was committed to support them and their families while going on with the mission.
Eugene Wamalwa was accompanied by a number of military heads led by the Chief of the Inspectorate Brigadier Francis Lobaly.
