Recently, the son to Ugandan president, Muhoozi, elicited mixed reactions amongst Kenyans and a section of Ugandans. Muhoozi who is the top army commander in Ugandan forces, alleged that it would take him a period of 2 weeks time to concur and overtake the Kenyan capital city, Nairobi.
Kenyans and Ugandans in the social media platforms are now on the verge to identify the most powerful country in terms of army strength. Here are some of the comparisons between Kenya, Uganda and other East Africa countries forces:
1. Airforce equipments
In East Africa, Kenya tops the list by having a large number of fighting equipments for the airforce. In total, Kenya has 130 airforce equipments compared to Uganda's 42. On the other hand, Ethiopia comes second with 71 equipments and lastly Tanzania with 29 equipments.
2. Military spendings
In military spendings, Kenya also tops the list in the East Africa region. Kenya spends a total of Sh143.2 billion compared to Uganda's 112.7 billion.
3. Active military personnel
In the East Africa region, Ethiopia tops the list by having 150,000 active military personnels. Kenya bottoms the list by having 24,000 active military personnels compared to Uganda's 47,000.
