Self discipline and good conduct of the Kenya Defense Forces has earned them respect in the continent and the entire world. It has become a habit for the KDF to offer support and help to suffering communities in the region and this has made them to be recognized.
At the moment a section of the KDF are in DRC where they are carrying out an operation to end the rivalry between the M23 rebels and the Congolese government. The officers have however built a good rapport with the local civilians who are helping them in the important operation.
Even though they work under harsh environments and circumstances the officers go a step further to offer humanitarian services to local communities. Even during busy schedules they find time to interact with the locals and asses their needs and worries. During Christmas they were spotted sharing goodies with the refugees in Goma which has been the center of terrorist activities for the M23.
In their operation the KDF have been providing food, water and medical services to the people. In return the people have been giving them leads on the rebel groups.
