Sadness engulfed in one family at Tabain, Roroani, Kamara in Nakuru county as hundreds of mourners joined in giving a senior police officer who died while in the line of duty his last respect.
The late Martin Kipkoech Cheruiyot was a long-servicing officer in the National police service, he was attached to the Special Force Commandos( SOG) and he was on duty in Lamu.
He passed away after a fierce exchange with terrorists in the thickets of Boni, Lamu county. The squad, later on, neutralized the attackers who disappeared into the forest.
His body was transported from the University of Nairobi Chiromoro mortuary and buried at his home in Nakuru. Police officers from the National police officers highly participated in the burial ceremony of their colleagues.
The late was planning to marry his wife next month but unfortunately, his life was cut short by suspected Al-Shabaab militias. May his soul rest in external peace.
